A document identifier is a string identifying a unique document inside a vault. A document identifier is a global unique identifier (GUID) as assigned by the Meridian Enterprise server. A document identifier is typically specified to identify a particular document to the Meridian Connection API and can be used in subsequent sessions to retrieve the same document.
